DAILY NOTES

We live in the IT Era and have seen huge progress in Sampling and Storing Big Data. However it still are problems with the next vital stage Synthesis- comprising ascension on the DIKWP Scale (Data-Information-Knowledge- Wisdom- Prediction) because it implies a creature very skilled in making errors and blunders disturbing and degrading the work of the inerrant computers. The beyond and above D and I, for K-W-P intervention of humans is necessary.
Sometimes this does not go well. See the prediction of the presidential election results.
See the many data accumulated in LENR and the wisdom (i.e. theory worked out and applied for converting LENR in a real source of energy.

LENR technology also uses big data, see Andrea Rossi's 800,000 pages to be processed, including in the frame of the Rossi-Darden conflict Trial. 600,000 pages are ERV raw data and it is not very difficult to guess what are the rest, used as decisive weapons in this war.
I hope the these data will be processed well, with efficiency and their mission- demonstration of the viability and performance of the LENR+ Technology will be perfect. It is interesting that in this case, the last/highest stage of the DIKWP scale will be POSTDICTION (defined as "an assertion or deduction about something in the past; the act of making such an assertion or deduction) - the certainty that the 1 MW 1 year plant has worked exactly as Rossi says, COP> 50, the Customer happily using the energy claimed. Abstract
The nuclear transmutations in biological systems (biotransmutations) have been investigated for more than two centuries as reviewed in several books by Komaki and Kush and we have analyzed them tentatively by using our TNCF model developed for the cold fusion phenomenon (CFP) in transition metal hydrides/deuterides. Recently, the investigation of the biotransmutations made a great progress in the direction to determine the microscopic origin of the nuclear reactions in the biological system where is apparently no mechanism to accelerate charged particles up to enough energies to cause fusion reactions of nucleons. Vysotskii et al. have shown not only the biotransmutation but also the decay-time shortening of radioactive nuclides in systems including microbial cultures: There are data sets showing (1) production of 57 26Fe from 55 25Mn and also (2) acceleration of the decay of radioactive nucleus 137 55Cs, 140 56Ba and 140 57La in several bacterial cultures. In this paper, we have reexamined the data of biotransmutation and decay-time shortening of radioactive nuclides in microbial cultures from molecular levels and applied our TNCF model to analyze them. It is shown that the TNCF model successful to give a unified explanation of the CFP is applicable also to the biotransmutation.

 Abstract
The investigation of the cold fusion phenomenon (CFP) has lasted more than a quarter of a century after 1989 when a part of its vast and diverse contents was discovered by Fleischmann et al. without remarkable success in innovation of the paradigm of modern science. Recent trend of the CF research seems shifting to the application of the CFP leaving the fundamental problems how to explain this curious phenomenon consistently with other phenomena in the frame of modern physics. We have tried to investigate the CFP in accordance with the common sense of modern science established mainly in the 20th century. To do so, we emphasized importance of communication with other scientists working in the established fields of science. Another point we would like to emphasize is necessity to give a great regard for the typical experimental results in this field piled up in these more than 25 years. The first measurement of the energy spectrum of neutrons in a CF system (a system where occurs the CFP) was performed by S.E. Jones et al. On the detection of 4 2He, we have to consider the work by Morrey et al. in 1990. The first data of nuclear transmutation in a protium system was obtained by R.T. Bush and R.D. Eagleton in 1993. The most extensive measurement of excess energy was performed by M.C.N. McKubre et al. in 1993 and 1994. M. Okamoto et al. confirmed the localization of nuclear reactions in the CFP for the first time in 1994. There are several astonishing data sets on the nuclear transmutations (NTs) in very diverse systems from transition-metal hydrides and deuterides such as NiHx and PdDx (x ≈ 1) to carbon-hydrogen systems including hydrogen graphite, XLPE and microbial cultures. To give a unified explanation of the vast and diverse experimental data, we have to follow the orthodox approach to the unknown phenomenon, the phenomenological approach, often used in the history of science. A phenomenological approach using a model based on the experimental facts, the TNCF model, has shown its usefulness to give a unified explanation of the CFP. In the course of the review of typical data sets in this paper, we use the model as a point of view necessary to grasp the total image of the CFP. Through the review of typical papers on the CFP depicted in this paper, we have given an overview of the science of the nuclear reactions occurring in CF materials (materials where occurs the CFP) demonstrated by vast and dispersed events observed in these 25 years. In short, the science of the CFP is the science of neutrons in CF materials.

3) Optical Detection of Phonon Gain Distinguishes an Active Cold Fusion/LANR component Mitchell R. Swartz,JRT Energy Inc.,Wellesley Hilld, MA, USA
  Abstract
Successful cold fusion is heralded by a large, if not quite abnormal, increase in the anti-Stokes to Stokes (aS/S) ratio in coherent multi-wavelength optical reflection volume-enhanced electric-driven spectroscopy (CMORE-spectroscopy). This distinguishing phonon gain is not seen in the “off” state or the avalanche (undesirable) mode. It heralds seven acoustic phonons assisting nuclear reactions and a core peak calculated Stokes temperature of circa 1645 K. ⃝c 2016 ISCMNS. All rights reserved. Iknow very well the matter and I can get rapidly the essence of a page to make the Attorneys go straight to the point without losing time in repetitions. I am a sort of a “catalyzer”. Surely I returned to work 16 hours per day, due to the litigation on course and the Sigma5 to reach with the Quark.

Can we meet global energy demands with nuclear power?
Date:November 9, 2016
Source:Inderscience
Summary:
An international team of scientists suggests that we must ramp up energy production by nuclear power if we are to succeed in warding off the worst effects of greenhouse gas emissions on climate change. The team suggests that beginning in 2020 we could achieve an annual electricity output of 20 terawatts without needing to develop carbon dioxide trapping and storage technology for the tens of billions of tons of emissions that would otherwise drive global warming to catastrophic levels.

As far as I can tell, nobody other than you thinks LENR+ is a thing, and I think I'd probably know.

    1. OK, Abd!
But 'LENR not plus' i.e. PdD classic definitely is
a thing- then why even you are NOT answering to that dreadfully negative and hopeless paper apublished in C&EN and to the release of the American Chemical Society?
Why nobody (except Randy Mills) is NOT showing that hydrino energy and cold fusion are different species?
You peersonally are good and have a cionsustent rhetorics only when you deny, but you are so silent now when you cpuld drfrnd the essence ofCold Fusion. Do you and your friends in thinking mode agree that CF died in 1992? What differentiates you from a demoralized defeatist?

    2. Peter - if you look at the last article in http://lenr-canr.org/acrobat/BiberianJPjcondensedt.pdf you'll see that the actual COP of the Lugano experiment is estimated at 1.13 as a maximum. The various systematic errors in the original measurements are investigated, and though this isn't the last word (since no-one except Rossi knows the precise materials used for that demo) the investigation looks pretty thorough.

Questioning the existence of LENR+ is thus not unreasonable. Abd, meanwhile, has many times pointed to the Miles correlation of heat and Helium production, and anyone who has not taken notice of that by now is unlikely to listen to any contrary arguments. Maybe there will be a re-run of that seminal experiment that will satisfy the critics, but it seems that nothing other than a commercially-available LENR system will silence such critics.

I remain sceptical of a theory that specifies a below-ground-state energy, since when we look at everything else it drops to the lowest available potential energy state. Odd that Hydrogen should be the only thing that breaks this rule. I could accept the "shrunken Hydrogen" idea if it was a higher-energy state. In the meantime, it's worth noting that having a fault in the hypothesis does not preclude having valid data from the experiment. As such, maybe BrLP may this time actually have a workable system, but I'm not yet convinced since the obvious experiment of putting a real PV in the emitted light and measuring the power produced has not been done (or to be precise has not been said to have been done).

With Dr. Mills speculating that Hydrinos are the elusive "dark matter", and therefore the idea also solves a cosmological problem, it's worth looking at Mike McCullough's blog "Physics from the Edge" where he explains all the cosmological data from first principles without any adjustable fudge-factors. Though this idea is pretty far out, it also has the feeling of being crazy enough to be true (like quantum physics) and treats momentum as a quantised quantity. http://physicsfromtheedge.blogspot.fr/ if you want to go look. It's worth it. You'll also find a comparison of Verlinde's gravity work there (which also removes the need for Dark Matter) and why Ockham's Razor is needed here.

As regards Rossi's Big Data, the little problem with where that ~1MW of heat went to is still not resolved. As you state in the quotes above "Listening to the data is important… but so is experience and intuition. After all, what is intuition at its best but large amounts of data of all kinds filtered through a human brain rather than a math model? (Steve Lohr)". In this case, my experience tells me that 1MW is somewhat hard to hide if it's there. It seems however to have been invisible to IR surveys and not to have caused anyone to break into a sweat. Fishy?

The best thing to do is to get the data, and Abd has collated a lot. He's also agitated for a replication of Miles, to get data that people can't ignore. Hardly defeatist, but instead working to find out what is real.

    3. Simon,
It is something strange but not funny with the tinking of both Abd and you- you behve as prisoners of an Anti-Rosi Planet nd in every discussion you are centered, focused, targeted on attacking Rossi and his allies destroying, annihilating everything technological he has or claims he has. This leads to questioning LENR+ - i.e. a concept- cold fusion helped by the dynamics of surface metal atoms- see my 1992-3 papes and my idea (fix one) that the way to LENR useful variant is technology. You ignore my idea that PdD wet in the cradle cell is just a harbinger, precursor, larvar stage of LENR. Rossi's creativity has pushed him to try high temperature LENR- I think he succeed you that he failed. OK, nOT this is the problem now and here- I say that it is not admissible to ignore the CEN paper1/4 century retarded obituary of Cold fusion and tha Cold Fusion and hydrino energy are not belomging to the same field.
So I ask you- please answer to ACS/CEN nd ignoring r including what was done in the NiH field- show them that they are in deep error and Cf has a future, is the energy source promised by the Founders.
About Rossi we will discuss when more is known- ERV Report, diagraam and so on.Write to ACS!

    5. Peter - it's not my place to tell the ACS that they are mistaken in their thinking on LENR. I will simply continue to discuss experimental results and to support people who tell the truth about their results whether or not those results are encouraging or not. Since we still do not understand why LENR works (sometimes) then knowing what doesn't work may be as important as what does work.

Wet-cell codeposition Pd/D cells do seem to produce nuclear effects pretty reliably providing you start with pretty pure D2O and keep it pure. At this moment in time I don't see a reliable Ni/H LENR system proved, though I hope that Brillouin's 20W finding can be proved.

It is quite possible that LENR will be thoroughly proven but yet will not have a high-enough COP or enough reliability to be practically useful as power generation. The fuel-processing steps may be too complex and expensive to give cheap power even if the reliability/repeatability problems are solved. It's still worth the effort to find out what is happening and why, since there may be other uses for this process that goes against our current theories.

As regards Rossi, I've set out my reasons for not trusting the published data. No point in repeating them yet again. The legal case is all about contracts, not science, so will not really prove that the heat was or was not there.

We need a new non-polluting and cheap power source. I know people who are trying to make LENR work, but I also know people who are working on compact (and safe) fission and fusion. There are also other techniques being tested, so there's a good chance that *something* will work. As far as I can see Rossi's data shows a COP of between 1 and 2 if you strip out the lies and bad measurements. It's maybe a start, but it's not LENR+.
