DAILY NOTES
a) QUO VADIS ,LENR?

I am astonished by the lack of response by our LENR community to the recent paper
in Chemical & Engineering News saying that Cold Fusion has died in 1992 and to the statement of the American Chemical Society about a bad legacy of our field. Have we lost our capacity of reaction? Is LENR in a zombie state- again - as it was in 2011 according to Andrea Rossi (and not only by him)?
I had the bad inspiration to ask the time and date site how many days have elapsed from the historical Press Conference of Fleischmann and Pons up to today and the answer is; 10095!  This is too much time!
Over ten thousand complete days! Immediately I remembered the book of Malcolm Gladwell "THE OUTLIERS"  (a must read IMHO!) and the essential rule of the 10,000 HOURS of practise needed to become an expert. (see please Motto) LENR has used already 24 times more and we do not have explanations, no accepted no industrial process (or we reject the one that worked?) We have some certainties but are they solid and can we make them contagious? Who will give an answer to the ACS and how will we convince them to re-think what they said. And to make the proper distinction/separation between LENR and the hydrino energy of Randell Mills.
I am waiting to see people more knowledgeable and skilled than me confronting the
judgment of ACS on LENR- till Monday. If nobody will answer, I will try to clarify the situation- the problem is that it will be my personal opinion, scenario, prediction.
But to NOT answer is defeatism!

b) Starting to discuss about Lev Sapogin's Unitary Quantum Theory.

See please paper 1) below- it is the slide presentation by Prof. Lev Sapogin and his colleagues for the SSICCF20 in China. Very unfortunately the authors could not travel to the meeting. I met Lev Sapogin at the second Minsk Cold Fusion Symposium in 2004 organized by my unforgettable friend Hal Fox- in order to facilitate the collaboration between cold fusionists from the US and those from the former Soviet Union. (My friend Hideo Kozima was also there) I was especially impressed by two of our Russian colleagues- Nikolai Smsonenko and Lev Sapogin.
and I have followed their publications. Sapogin's brainchild Unitary Quantum Theory is probably the boldest, most challenging and, yes, difficult mental construct in contemporary physics. If verified and accepted and mde applicable it could change civilization (to cite F. A. Gareev an other LENR personality from Russia)
I have read many papers both in Russian and in English about Sapogin's theory
and I find as justified the wordplay about the author already existing:
"HOMO SAPIENS HAS BUILT MANY VERY ELEVATED GENIUS THEORIES, BUT ONLY HOMO SAPOGIENSIS WAS ABLE TO CREATE THE UNITARY QUANTUM THEORY"
Read this paper please and then let's discuss. We can see with increasing anxiety that LENR needs a very radical explanation and radical, deeep  changes, first of all in our thinking. It is possible that Prof. Sapogin has a part of the solution

Dr Andrea Rossi,
You said that 20 thousand more pages are on their way to your office for reviewing related to the litigation: how many thousand of pages do you foresee to have to review for this process?

Francisco Williams:
If I make a projection, assuming an aritmetic progress, about 100 000. Plus the raw data of the ERV: after 352 days, 24/7, of all the parameters taken in consideration during the test, the number of pages I expect, based on my experience, will be between 600 000 and 800 000, fortunately in electronic format. Maybe I am wrong, though. I hope will be less, because I want to go through them. I want to analize every single paper to give my Attorneys the maximum possible help. Fortunately, I have a good memory, that helps to connect the different paper fields. My Attorneys, on their side, are making a fantastic job. We are a Team.
Warm Regards,
A.R.

Solar physicist finds new way to study the inner workings of the sun
Date:November 10, 2016

Summary:
Neutrinos from the sun carry information about its fiery core but they are extremely hard to detect. Now, researchers may have found a much easier and less expensive way to study these elusive particles.

  1. I think the reason nobody in the US has responded is that we've been stunned to know that our new leader, Trump, will be promoting a return to coal, is appointing a climate denier to head the EPA, intends to halt all US research on global warming and pull out of the Paris climate accord.

  3. It was a mistake to write that CF researchers claimed that excess heat generated in F&P experiments was due to Mill's hydrinos.

Please make sure that readers of the article become aware of this very serious mistake.

  4. Re. point 6 above;
It looks like all of Mr Rossi's time for the next twelve months at least, will be taken up reading the 600,000 to 800,000 pages from his lawyers. He says he wants to read and analyse all of it.
Even taking the lower estimate of pages, that makes 600,000 over 365 days to give around 1700 pages each and every day, with no days off; not even for tennis.
If you want to know how much paper that is, compare it to a stack of 3 reams of photocopy paper, which is 1500 pages, each and every day.
Whether it's in electronic format or not, if you're actually going to read it closely, it still takes the same time to read. And he says "I want to analize every single paper to give my Attorneys the maximum possible help".

I hope that doesn't delay the release of the all new Quack ecat-x because there are lots of people waiting for the next episode in this current series. It's really annoying to get half way through a series and then find it's been dumped due to poor ratings or lack of production facilities.

As a side note, it was disappointing to see Mr Rossi didn't answer the question on his blog as to why he seems to have disposed of the direct electrical production from the new Quack ecat X, and is concentrating on only the heat production. The old versions apparently did that job extremely well, with a proven COP of fifty demonstrated over one whole year, according to his ERV report, apparently, he claims. IH disputes this but then what would they know?

It was only the direct electrical production which made this latest incarnation different and possibly better than all the precedents. Now that this feature has been dumped there appears to be no upside to the downsizing of the reactors from 5 kilowatts or more to the tiny 20 watt power rating. Oh, except for safety reasons of course. At twenty watts it must now be incredibly safe.

  5. If A.R. likes legal work that he will read 1700 pages a day maybe he
    should become a Lawyer.
Research the Ecat as a hobby.
